INVITATION AND CALL FOR ABSTRACT
The 11th AIRMON Symposium on Modern Principles of Air Monitoring and Biomonitoring
15-19 June 2025, Loen, Norway
http://www.airmon.eu
The Norwegian Institute of Occupation Health (STAMI) in collaboration with PEROSH invites scientists and users of science to this 11th AIRMON Symposium.
We sincerely hope that you will respond positively to this invitation and call for papers. Please inform your colleagues about this opportunity to share and discuss their recent experiences and also to be scientifically updated through short courses given by international leading specialists in typical Norwegian informal surroundings.
We look forward to your attendance at and participation in this triannual scientific event.
Objectives and Main Topics
The aim of the conference is to provide a forum to encourage the exchange of ideas and knowledge about recent developments and state-of-the-art knowledge methods for assessing human airborne exposure at work, residential, and in the environment, as well as related analytical air sampling and biomonitoring techniques. The conference will bring together international participants experienced in fundamental aspects, instrumentation and applications in typical Norwegian informal settings to examine recent progress in this continuing growing field; approximately 120- 140 participants are expected to attend.
Air monitoring
Ambient, indoor and occupational air measurements
Personal, stationary and continuous monitoring – remote sensing
Sampling of gases, volatile and semi-volatile compounds – pumped, passive and mixed phases
Sampling strategies- pumped, passive and mixed phases
Sampling of inorganic, organic, fibrous, and biological aerosols
Particle size selective sampling
Direct reading sensors
Biomonitoring
Sampling strategies to occupational and environmental biomonitoring.
Biomarkers of exposure, susceptibility and effect
Applications of biomarkers in assessing health risk of air and dermal exposures
Analytical methodologies
New development of analytical methods
Novel nano-and microplastic measurement methodologies
Physico-chemical-biological properties of exposure
