BAuA will host a seminar on risk assessment criteria for the hazards regarding blue-light and infrared exposure. Currently, the measurement conditions related to blue-light and infrared exposure caused by high-power spotlights are unclear. One can find these sources in studios, theaters and construction sites e.g. There are challenges when it comes to the exposure measurement and risk assessment criteria.
The seminar will reflect on these issues and decide if a more coherent joint effort is relevant for PEROSH members. An objective of such a more expanded project would be to validate criteria to assess blue-light and infrared exposures caused by high-power spotlights.
