Due to demographic changes across Europe, there are strong political interests in maintaining the labour force by prolonging working life.
This NIVA course provides participants with theoretical knowledge on push and stay factors for labour market participation among senior workers and discusses how this knowledge can be used for practical purposes.
This is an online course consisting of two parts.
Part I: Prior to the course
All participants are required to read an assigned article for each lecture prior to the course and answer a few questions related to the article. This amounts to 8-10 articles in total.
Part II: During the course
To facilitate active learning, knowledge-sharing and networking, all participants will take part in discussions (30 min) after each lecture (30 min). The discussions are based on the article and the lecture.
The total amount of work is approximately 25 hours, which is usually converted into 1 ECTS point for university studies.
The price of the course is EUR 50.
