The PEROSH project “High-Power Spotlights Risk Assessment (HiPoSisAs)” focuses mainly on assessing light-induced photochemical retinal damages, the so-called “Blue-Light Hazard” (BLH), that is a severe problem of high-power spotlights, e.g. at stages, construction sites, or civil engineering. This joint project of 7 European OSH institutes aims at developing a simpli-fied BLH risk assessment approach at workplaces.

Coordinating HiPoSisAs, BAuA now published results of an in-house research project having a similar topic that will support the PEROSH partners in finding a joint solution. The report “BLH Risk Assessment of Incoherent High-Power Spotlights – The Planck Approximation” is available online in English.
