The COVID-19 pandemic led to a difficult start of the High-Power Spotlights Risk Assessment (HiPoSisAs) project in spring 2020, as it was certainly the case for many other international activities, too. The intended optical instrument comparison and joint blue-light hazard (BLH) workplace risk assessment, both main tasks of the HiPoSisAs group, required on-site meetings that, however, were not possible for a long time. Luckily, after 1.5 years of delay, first measurements could take place at BAuA in the summer of 2022 and were completed just recently in a warm and friendly atmosphere at Poznan near GL Optic, one of our Polish project partners. The draft of our joint paper containing an evaluation of a proposed simplified BLH risk assessment approach is currently under preparation.
