The “High-Power Spotlights Risk Assessment” (HiPoSisAs) project has been completed successfully, focusing on assessing light-induced photochemical retinal damages, commonly known as the “Blue-Light Hazard” (BLH), at workplaces.

The primary objective was to develop a straightforward and practical risk assessment method. By means of a comparison of optical instruments and various risk assess-ment methods employed by collaborating PEROSH institutes, the project assessed the practicality of an illuminance-based approach and confirmed its suitability for high-intensity white-light sources.

The scientific article summarizes the research outcomes, while the accompanying two-sided practical guide offers compact information tailored for individuals tasked with risk assessment.

The scientific article can be downloaded here and the practical guide can be downloaded through this link.
