On November 13 and 14, 2023, CNVM organised a preparatory meeting of a new PEROSH project “Algorithmic Management and AI-based systems” (ALMA-AI project) in Bilbao, Spain. The project will delve into the influence of artificial intelligence on the world of work. CNVM is an affiliated institute of INSST, our Spanish PEROSH member.

Eight researchers from six European health and safety institutes participated in this technical meeting: AUVA (Austria), CIOP-PIB (Poland), FIOH (Finland), INAIL (Italy), INRS (France) and TNO (Netherlands).

The director of international relations of PEROSH, Jan Michiel Meeuwsen, attended the meeting as well. PEROSH looks forward to this project on Artificial Intelligence and Algorithmic Management, which has begun to take shape at the headquarters of the INSST in Spain.

Jorge Martín González is the coordinator of this new project. Maria Angeles de Vicente Abad guided the researchers in defining more precisely the scope of the project. Research methodologies and intended products/results were challenged against viability and project objectives; an enlightening exercise.
