We are pleased to inform that on 3 November 2023 PEROSH received a reply to its position paper from Mr. Stefan Olsson, Deputy Director General of the Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion.
Mr. Olsson has confirmed that ensuring safe workplaces is a continuous objective of the Commission and in the EU OSH Strategic Framework (2021-2027) the Commission already announced its intention to further investigate the risks arising from physical agents.
The Deputy Director stated as well that DG Employment is currently in close contact with ICNIRP as regards to future updates of the underlying guidelines to the Directive 2006/25/EC and noted that the European Commission will ensure the consultation of all the relevant stakeholders during the revision process of the Directive 2006/25/EC.
