In FIOH’s new project, the opportunities and challenges of the digital and green transition in working life are being examined. The aim is to promote the implementation of this transition in workplaces in an inclusive, well-being-supporting, and perceived fair manner.

In workplaces, the digital and green transition can involve many concrete changes to processes, working methods, products, and services. With the help of researched knowledge, it is possible to promote the realization of the transition while anticipating and monitoring its impacts on work, skills, and well-being.

This new project generates information about the effects of the digital and green transition on individuals’ work, the operations of work organizations, work communities, and the broader working life. This information can be utilized in research, political decision-making, large-scale development programs, and the internal development work of work organizations.
