HSE scientific evidence and research on COVID-19 is helping to improve understanding of how to control the risks of virus transmission in workplaces and other settings. It is used to inform decision making by HSE policymakers and wider government.
We have created a new webpage to show all HSE coronavirus (COVID-19) science and research in one place.
On the new webpage you will find links to:
- The newest published HSE COVID-19 evidence summaries: personal protective equipment in health care settings and transmission in meat processing factories.
- Information on HSE’S contributions to the UK Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) which provides scientific and technical advice to support government decision makers during emergencies. HSE’s Chief Scientific Adviser, Professor Andrew Curran, is a participant in SAGE and co-chair of the SAGE Environmental Modelling Group. The reports published by the SAGE Environmental Modelling Group are listed on the HSE’s science and research publications webpage.
- COVID-19 national core studies, HSE is leading a UK government COVID-19 national core study on the transmission of COVID-19 in the environment, including in workplaces, transport and other public settings. Our findings will be published on this webpage.
