The Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (IFA) has published a new study focused on improving data collection for machine learning algorithms used in (near-)fall detection. This research is part of the work done by IFA’s competence center dedicated to AI and big data.

AI plays a crucial role in workplace safety by analyzing large datasets, simulating work environments, and monitoring processes. However, it also introduces risks that could impact worker safety and health. To address these challenges, IFA’s competence center conducts research, provides advice, and offers training in these areas.
