How can Europe ensure that work remains safe, healthy, and sustainable in a world shaped by AI, climate change, demographic shifts, and evolving ways of working?

These questions were at the heart of the PEROSH Steering Committee meeting and strategic workshop hosted at IFA Bonn. Together, representatives from leading European occupational safety and health research institutes explored future priorities for collaboration and research, focusing on the challenges that will define the next decade.

From artificial intelligence and digitalisation to mental health, climate-related risks, occupational diseases, and the future of work, the discussions highlighted a shared ambition: turning scientific knowledge into practical solutions that improve working lives across Europe.

A key takeaway from Bonn was clear: the challenges ahead are too complex for any organisation to tackle alone. Stronger collaboration, shared expertise, and joint research efforts will be essential to deliver meaningful impact. A warm thank you to our hosts at IFA
